- The Facilities Management User Group (FMUG)
The Facilities Management User Group (Formerly
known as The Facilities Management
Special Interest Group - FM SIG) was formed in 1993.
-
- The original objectives of the group still stand:-
-
To bring together like minded people
from the FM world.
-
To give users an opportunity to learn about all aspects of CAFM through
presentations and demonstrations.
-
To provide a forum for users to communicate with and where necessary
lobby FM suppliers.
- It is recognised that in Computer Aided Facilities
Management (CAFM) the choice of third party software
is often a key issue and the group offers an opportunity to see demonstrations outside a
"selling" environment and also learn from other peoples experiences.
-
- The groups users comes from all areas of public and private
sector business, and from education, suppliers, developers and FM Specialists
everywhere.
Individuals include Operators, Managers, Potential Owners and
Lecturers.
- It is widely believed that CAFM is currently only in the hands of small
percentage of the potential market, and with such a fast growing industry, the group
aims to help its users keep up.
